Social- Body Image
The photo is about a girl’s body shadowed by some leaves at night. We used flashlight on the opposite side in order to create the shadow of the leaves. The girl was really a great model, it was actually her idea to be naked in the photo and she’s not shy at all, which made the process much more easier.
This photo actually took place very accidently, just totally for fun and I never thought about exposuring it or using it for any other purpose. But when I saw this project, for somehow, this photo immediately came to mind as if it was born for this project. I try to express the words “The human body is the most beautiful art ” which is exactly what I thought about body image. I feel the most wonderful thing is the inner beauty of humans, but it is always abstract to reflect this opinion on another other kinds of art. And there is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. That is the true essence of beauty.

Music-Sky's Still Blue
The song we picked for the music project was called “Sky’s Still Blue” by Andrew Belle.
These are our favourite part of the lyrics:
Oh, if you're hearing this.
I must have made it through
Oh, when the clouds are burned
Open up my window
I see the sky's still blue.
These lyrics tell us that no matter what happens, the sky will always be blue. It’s a metaphor for how there’s always going to be hope.We see the colours blue, yellow, green, blue-ish green, and a bit of orange when listening to the song. The mood is relaxing and cheery as well. The images that come to mind are, a person walking down the street humming, someone standing on a ladder overlooking a mountain, and someone lying on the ground while staring at the clouds. Eventually, I took the picture of a lovely girl dreaming under blue sky.

Famous Photographer- Josef Hoflehner
The photography I chose is Josef Holfehner who is one of "Ausrria's 10 Best Contemporary Artists". He is well known for the series "Jet Airliner" which is a very interesting series and he put a lot of effort on it, waiting near the airport every in order to capture some great photos. His photos are basically very clean and have the power to make people calm down, that's why I really admire him and wish to be a good photography just like him.
My partner and I chose his building series as an inspiration for our project and we used black and white to demonstrate the buildings in downtown. I really like how the lines on the building look like, just as they have connected together. |
